Big Old Rumba Beat

The violet sprouts in the summertime gay
And the lilac blooms in the month of May
A butterfly flutters by in the wind
While an old man and his old wife to their tender garden tend
Somewhere someone makes a fortune selling innocence on the street
Somewhere else a man lay dying with no shoes upon his feet
But the world it keeps a-turnin’ to that big old rumba beat
